Actually a nice restaurant in itself. But the food is unreasonable ... even simple dishes such as They can't make cheese spaetzle there. The service is well ... rather uninterested. A pity...

Best local in the east of Munich, the service is perfect and the owner is often there and is very nice.

First of all, I'm here every Thursday! Every time I have a lot of fun here, the host, the staff and his son are just super relaxed and friendly. I can only recommend.

Hello we are here very often and the employee is very unfriendly Saturday October 3rd, 2020 evening shift not Ivana. That doesn't work at all. Customer is king. Simply cheeky.

In itself I think the ZAR is really good! The food and cocktails are delicious. However, I find the owner TOTAL outrageous! How can you afford to shout at a bartender with words like "Grow your eggs" in front of customers? The landlord does not wear a mask, there is a sticker on the toilets that reads: "The masks don't help you (because of the virus) but me with the punishment. Your host." It's just amazing how you can behave like that! Perhaps you should consider how to behave respectfully towards other people, because that also leaves an impression on customers. Preferably 0 stars

Nice beer garden, menu via QR code, friendly service, good portions. Price / performance right.

The offer is ok, but we have had a really bad experience with the service. Despite obvious attempts to draw the waitress's attention to us, we had to get up from our table several times in the evening and intercept her in front of the kitchen to order. And it wasn't particularly crowded. Very annoying!

Slow service, splitting the tab into two, because of shift change, causing the second tab to be under 15 euro and therefore you can't pay with card and the second tab is expected to be paid in cash. Having gas heater in the winter garden, with the text, will not be operated before 16:00, when asking them to turn one on at 18:30, they can't do that due to corona. (heater is still standing next to the table after 6 month of corona and you are not allowed to operate them due to corona?)

The place is nothing spectacular, the service was not good either, slow and a bit arrogant, they have an electronic menu, but still you need to pay cash below 15 Euro. The garden is mostly closed and everyone is smoking there, so not really pleasant experience. Not to mention that the clientele looks dodgy.

We (always large groups of 5-15 people) have been going to the Tsar for years. Actually a nice bar with good food. Unfortunately we are more and more disappointed. Personnel is getting slower, more forgetful and unfriendly. The portions keep getting smaller. We no longer see why we should leave our money there. Very, very sad but we will look for something new now.

Unfortunately, I don't understand some of the bad comments, because ZAR is absolutely TOP. It starts with the price-performance ratio, which you really shouldn't complain about in Munich, and goes on to the facility, which is regularly renovated and renewed. A great, large beer garden where dogs are allowed and kids can play thanks to the playground. The covered part of the beer garden is the absolute highlight. Especially for the winter time or when it's a little colder and windy, thanks to the patio heaters, it's my personal favorite at ZAR. There is also a great atmosphere at the weekend, as varied music is played throughout the evening. For all Bayern & Germany game fans it is almost like in the stadium when it is broadcast live and an absolute MUST for football fans. In short: The ZAR is one of my absolute favorites in the city. Great & fast service, good food and delicious cocktails. If you do well, you even get a Frangelico on the house;)

A bar that I love to visit. Great service, good food and the whole thing absolutely inexpensive. The beer garden is also nicely designed and there is a children's corner. Mixed crowd and a good atmosphere. Up soon!

Nice location with a small, modern beer garden. Often, however, relatively full and the waitresses are not quite as attentive. Over the years the shop has become significantly more expensive. By the way, parking spaces are limited ...

I have been going to the Tsar regularly for over 6 years. The food tastes great. Thumbs up for the cook! However, the staff in the beer garden (blond gentleman) couldn't be more unfriendly and pampy. My last visit was the confirmation to turn my back on the tsar. I think especially after such a crisis, should the restaurant appreciate its guests. You will no longer see us and our entire group. Too bad.

The food and drinks are very good. Reasonable price / performance. Nice friendly and one tries to meet the wishes of the customers.

Club sandwich is delicious, the pasta as well. Priced in order. Rather older audience during our visit but the mood does not bother. The service could be a bit faster.

Had a very good beer and traditional bavarian breakfast for 5,9 Euro. Very nice cozy place, food and beverage excelent, great selection of beer. Strangely, the best thing we tried is fresh mint tea with fresh ginger and honey. This earned this place a 5 star rating!

Well, the place is located at the cusp of b2r & A8 and is very easy to miss out on. Parking is also difficult to find so, probably park your car somewhere around. By the looks of it, it looks like a niche place. With an extensive food and drinks menu. But, always looks for the deals and the weekly specials. The service was a bit slow, even though it was not that crowded. It was an okay place to be - nothing that would bring me back here.

Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. As others have said they have an English menu and will speak English if needed, but will let you practice your bad German with a smile.

Sunday buffet is okay (No vegan) - but you get better ones paying the same price (17,9€) at other places in Munich. Typical choice of food, auch as sliced sausages (luncheon), some cheese but nothing special, not even blue cheese. Boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, pretty basic muesli and not special milk. The brezels are frozen produce and the cakes are okay. The lunch buffet is not better. No fish meal, no real vegetarian meal.

Food was good. Service was good. Nothing to complain about. Sitting in the beer garden on a warm Sunday was nice, but it might be annoying in peak hour

It's not a biergarten like I was expecting from reading there advertising sign in front. However the food was not incredible but not bad either, very correct i'd say. The service was not too long but we still had to wait a bit eventhough there were only three families currently eating or waiting.

This place was very accommodating because we turned up in a large group of 8 people without booking. They still found a table for us and were happy to serve us. Service was good and the food was nice. We had the schnitzel with chips. Prices were reasonable as well.

Trendy bar which is perfect to watch sporting events or to have some drinks and food with friends. I did all 3 at once and recommend the burgers. Their cocktail list is extensive and they have a reasonable selection of wine and beer. Staff were friendly and looked after us well. There is also a rather large outdoor area for spring and summer. Parking may be difficult but it is near the Autobahn which is a plus. Additionally there is nearby access to the fantastic train system of Munich. Generally there is a younger crowd although this can change when the football is on.

The food is only ok. Not good value
